About the Author
P. J. Galati
Originally from Morristown, New Jersey; P. J. Galati grew up in a creative environment, encouraged by his parents to pursue all avenues. From a young age, drawing and creating were present, later turning to writing poetry, keeping a journal, and short fiction. His creative passion transitioned into working with electronics and the art of deconstructing objects to find out how they fit together. Attending Rutgers University for electronics, P. J. Galati didn’t focus on writing classes, and for the most part is self-taught. Ever the romantic, P. J. Galati produced a small amount of poetry for a few college girlfriends, but it wasn’t until 2016 that his passion for writing poetry was rekindled. Finding a new outlet on Instagram, he has produced well over 300 poems, ranging from romance to risqué, all written for love interests. A modern renaissance man, he loves to create with his hands in many mediums, from wood, leather, ink on paper, photography, digital art and circuits to metal fabrication and acrylic on canvas. Starting his professional life as an electronics troubleshooter, he worked over a decade in the field before feeling the draw of the arts pulling him back. He rearranged his priorities and headed to the New York Film Academy, graduating from their filmmaking program. Fully invested in storytelling through film, P. J. Galati continued his writing with several science fiction feature film screenplays and the unexpected novel The Legend of La La Land, produced slowly over twelve years since 2006. The form is not as important as the intention, storytelling has been in his life for several decades. P. J. Galati still works in the film and television industry, mostly as an independent film editor. P. J. Galati now has the added goal of taking The Legend of La La Land to Hollywood in the future and seeking a film deal, after the book is published. He is already poised for the next book in the series, The Return to La La Land.
